In the Omen 15 line, the 15-en1034ur model is the youngest, and more expensive versions have more powerful processors up to the AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX and the Intel Core i7-10870. These same laptop displays have a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels, and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 as a graphics adapter. Accordingly, SSDs received twice the volume with the same 16 GB of RAM. At the same time, the ratio of the components of the device is the most optimal in terms of gaming performance and price.

Strict Exterior Design
Omen 15 is just an example of a stylish but, at the same time, outwardly smooth gaming laptop. The design of the case combines dark matte plastic and aluminum in the same color scheme. From the outside, you can’t say that under the hood there is any kind powerful gaming stuffing, except that the weight is definitely higher than that of the same office laptops.
Let’s go back to the lid. Thanks to its matte finish, its surface practically does not collect any dirt or fingerprints. The strength of the laptop lid is above average. A slight movement of the panel is felt when twisting and pressing when closed, but there is a good balance between the weight of the lid and the main body, and the laptop lid is easy to open with one finger.
Connectors and controls
The HP Omen 15 has ports on both sides, and there are plenty of them. Besides three fast USB-A and one USB Type-C ports, there is an exotic Mini Display Port, an SD card reader, and a wired Internet connector for those who, for some reason, do not trust Wi-Fi. Peripheral ports have moved closer to the screen, so a mouse connected to the right or an Internet cable connected to the left will not interfere with the mouse position on either side.
The keyboard is located on a slightly recessed panel, and the trackpad is a little higher, but it does not affect usability in any way that I was able to notice. There is space on the sides of the keyboard, but the numeric keypad does not fit well enough for me. Apparently, this is done to ensure the compact size of the case and the full size of the switches. Overall, the keyboard and trackpad are solid besides the small Tab key, which gamers often use.
The keys have a quiet and relatively shallow stroke. The distance between them is sufficient for error-free blind input. For those who type while looking at the keyboard, a strict white backlight is provided, no iridescent rainbow for you.

Screen display
The HP Omen 15 display has everything you need for a great gaming experience: 144Hz refresh rate, fast response, matte finish, and good color gamut. Complementing the pleasant display are decent viewing angles and relatively thin bezels on the sides. The bezel is thicker at the top, and a webcam for streaming and video chats is installed here.
Of course, a weighty cherry on the cake is support for ray tracing and DLSS. Compatible games look very cool, and real-time ray tracing technology offers very close to the real lighting model, right down to reflections in glass and liquid surfaces.
The screen brightness on the top is 300 nits, which seems to be low, but given the gaming nature of the device, it is a bit enough for adequate color reproduction in games.

Performance, cooling, and autonomy
Under the hood, the Omen 15 has a pretty good set of hardware for the money. First and foremost is the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 graphics card for laptops, which gives you both a top-notch visual experience in gaming and data processing. Compared to the previous generation of RTX graphics cards, the new Ampere architecture provides a twofold increase in the speed of tensor and RT cores and integrated multiprocessors. The card is not the most powerful in its lineup, but it will give odds to the past generation of RTX and will be helpful for gamers/streamers and graphic content creators.
The graphics limit has been reached, despite the strong but still basic AMD Ryzen 5 5600H processor for its line. The processor is part of the Cezanne family and is positioned as a chip for thin productivity-based laptops, including mid-range gaming models. As you know, with the transition to the Zen 3 architecture, there was not only an increase in performance, but at the same time, the system did not consume more energy but, on the contrary, even became a little more power-saving.
Conclusion
The cost of the Omen 15 fluctuates around the mark of $1500. The manufacturer has definitely managed to combine suitable characteristics, strict design, relatively compact dimensions, and adequate ergonomics in his gaming laptop. Such a model will be appreciated by those gamers who do not care so much about external attributes and the laptops belonging to gaming devices, they indicate.
As a result, HP Omen 15 is a beautiful and powerful gaming model that can be safely advised not only to gamers but also to people who are looking for a productive and convenient laptop with a high-quality screen and good sound.
