Razer Blade 15 Advanced Gaming Laptop
Even though the Razer Blade 15 Advanced Model is still among the priciest gaming laptops, the newest CPU and GPU chips boost its performance while preserving a premium portable design. When you picture gaming laptops, luxury undoubtedly isn’t the first thing that springs to mind, especially because some of them may appear, shall we say, extra with flashing light bars and dot-matrix screens incorporated in their lids. But the Razer Blade 15 genuinely seems like it’s stepped over the line into handheld gaming grandeur with its great performance, excellent build quality, discreet design, and very premium pricing.

Although the style has been significantly modified, it still mostly retains the familiar slim, streamlined shape. The laptop’s dimensions and weight are the same for the 2022 version at 0.67 by 14.3 by 9.3 inches (HWD) and 4.4 pounds, respectively.
A Well-Honed Blade
By this point, the Razer Blade 15 is a tried-and-true design. Pretty much every single time a new model is released, it ends up garnering fantastic reviews as maybe the most opulent gaming laptop you can purchase. It’s true that this luxury comes at a hefty price. However, enough customers still choose computers in this price bracket to support yearly updates from Razer and a number of rivals, even if the majority of us can only envy.
Changes from Previous Editions
The newest Razer is the same size as the previous model, but it has a few modest but welcome upgrades, including bigger keycaps, improved speakers, and a modified power button. Although they aren’t particularly apparent, the larger keys help with speedy typing. A less fussy full-size key in the upper right side of the keyboard itself has taken the place of the tiny power button located in the top corner of the right-side speaker. The update is simpler and more sensible.
The new speakers are likewise more streamlined. Although they remained in the same spot, the prior speakers resembled mesh grilles that were slightly indented, which I found to be out of place given the rest of the contemporary architecture. The 2022 speakers, which are a series of holes in the chassis itself, are more in line with what you find on the majority of modern laptops. Even if the alteration is little, it looks better.
Everything you would need is there, and the port selections remain intact. Two USB 3.1 Type-A ports, a USB-C port, the power jack, and the headphone jack are all located on the left side. Another USB-A port, a USB-C connector that supports Thunderbolt 4, an HDMI video output, and an SD card reader is positioned on the right. You still receive excellent video call quality thanks to the webcam’s 1080p resolution boost over last year’s model.

The Razer Blade 15 Advanced’s display, which offers excellent brightness and color but clearly stands out by being among the most dynamic displays you can get on a gaming laptop right now, is part of what gives the device its “Advanced” moniker. A refresh rate of 360 Hz is one of the few notebook screens available; the greater the number, the more smoothly games and applications may function. Even the most expensive gaming laptops we’ve examined often have a 165 Hz maximum refresh rate. The Blade 15 Advanced can therefore run games with a degree of optimum fluidity that few rivals can match.
But even if you’re not a gadget geek, the 360 Hz display on the Blade 15 Advanced has advantages. Everyday chores feel that much more pleasurable since they are performed with a degree of fluidity that is considerably smoother than other laptops we’ve tried while scrolling across web pages, switching between programs even while moving the mouse pointer around while multitasking.
Performance-wise, the Razer Blade 15 Advanced is a monster. Nvidia’s RTX 3080 graphics processor and an Intel Core i9 microprocessor with 32GB of RAM are housed in a frame that is only a little thicker than half an inch. All of these factors come together to create a computer that can easily handle the newest, most popular PC games while packing enough of power for heavy multitasking.
The Blade 15 Advanced has an impressive amount of power for mobile gaming and multitasking but a frustratingly short battery life. On our battery test, which involves playing a 4K film on repeat at 50% brightness, Razer’s laptop shut down after just two hours and 45 minutes with the display in 360 Hz mode. The Blade’s durability increased to a still subpar three hours when we reduced the refresh rate to 60 Hz.

If you have the money to spend, the Razer Blade 15 Advanced is one of the best gaming laptops available. You can even use it at the workplace or coffee shop without drawing unwanted attention when it’s time to work. Just keep in mind to pack the power cord when you’re on the go.
The newest large PC games can be played at their highest settings on Razer’s 15-inch laptop, and its 360 Hz display offers a degree of smoothness that is uncommon on other laptops. It provides enough power for productivity thanks to the most recent Intel Core i9 CPU and 32GB of RAM. It also helps that all of this power is contained in a lovely design with many features geared at gamers, such as fun configurable keyboard lighting that doesn’t appear as it belongs in a science fiction film.
The Blade 15 Advanced’s battery life is a little disappointing, and rivals like the Lenovo Legion 5 Pro and Acer Predator 300 Helios may provide better endurance. Additionally, the less expensive Blade 15 Base Models are solid, if you have a limited budget. But Razer’s 15-inch laptop is among the finest you can purchase if you’re prepared to spend money on a gaming notebook that offers excellent quality and performance in a sophisticated and appealing design.
